Prayers…..

Instead of posting about my Bible Study or the other great things the LORD is teaching me, I thought I would do something different.  I am in bed sick today; I get very restless when I spend the day in bed being sick.  God showed me how to spend the day NOT being restless.  How can I pray for you today?  Leave me a comment and I will pray for you.

  1. Prayers for you today:-) Thank you so much for your posts. I’ve really enjoyed learning from them. Please prayer for me today as I’m on day 3 of a 24 day challenge. It’s the beginning of my journey to be healthier! I know that it’s a life long journey but everyone starts somewhere and I’ve started here. I’m determined to be healthier in order to serve better. I also am in search of an accountability partner. I know my God is faithful and will send the right person to me.

  2. Aww Sorry your not feeling well, I’ll pray for you as well. I could use your prayers for an upcoming surgery I’m preparing for, its onThursday, I’m meeting the the guy who puts you under today and make sure my heart is good to go. Using holes that already exist is one thing making a whole and sowing me back up is another. I have faith God has already worked it out, but as a human I am still a little unsure ya know.

Get better soon, I love your posts sharing what you learn from the studies you are doing.

      • Thank you, yes it is a fine line. Since I will be staying over night, I’m taking my bible and note book – I have been collecting verses on faith, fear worry and how God is with me. Have been filling my mind with positive thoughts

  3. Praying for you. As with Debi, I ask that you pray for my upcoming surgery. In man’s eyes many things are “up in the air” until surgery is completed. However in God’s eyes, all things are completed and He is in charge of it all.

  4. I’m sorry you’re feeling lousy. I’m wrapping you in prayer today, asking for your healing to be swift and total.
I posted this on my Group page this morning, I would be grateful for your prayers, too.
“Truthfully, I’m floundering. There’s so much raging around inside my head and heart, I’m hitting a wall emotionally, and can’t seem to get thru the reading (AUH), or hold onto these insights once I close the book. I’m a mess melting into a puddle on the floor. May not be able to contribute much for a while. Sorry.”

    • Karen, just leave it all at the foot of the cross and take up His yoke for it is light. Just trust that He is working things out for you and dont get discouraged.

      • Debi, thank you for your prayers.
I’d love to be able to do as you suggest, but HOW do you put it down? I’m trying and trying but don’t seem to be able.

      • Karen, sorry it took me a while to get back to you, I was at the hospital for a pre op counseling / tests. it took me a while to learn how to put things at the Cross because for years I carried everything. I am doing a bible study by Wendy Blight and it was this year that I started leaving things at the foot of the cross.

What works for me is saying out loud “Jesus I am laying this problem at the cross I know you will take care of it for my good so I will not look at or think about it again. Thank you for the good things that you have done for me and will do for me. In Jesus name Amen.
( and believe it) a scripture that helped me has always been: James 1:6 – When you ask him be sure that you really expect him to tell you ( If you are asking him what he wants you to do) for a doubtful mind qill be unsettled as a wave on the sea… I hope that helps you.

    • First thank you for your prayers!!! I really appreciate it!

Second, I am praying for you and want to encourage you to not give up reading your book. The closer you get to Jesus the more the devil tries to pull you away. Even if you don’t feel you are gaining much insight I would love it if you set a timer for even 10 minutes a day and read. The enemy wants you to pull back and drop out of the study and the group – don’t shut down and pull away. Stay strong and post even if u don’t feel like it, read even if you don’t retain it right now – don’t give up!!!!

  5. Thank you, friends, for sharing your prayers and insight. Debi, your suggestion is so helpful ~ I’ve always had trouble setting down my burdens and trusting anyone (even God!) to handle them for me. And my mind has been like a wave on the sea, crashing into the rocky shore and disintegrating. Could be why I’m in the state I am right now.
And, VH, your challenge to not let the enemy pull me away must have been inspired, because that’s exactly how I tend to react. I pull back and lock myself behind walls of fear and doubt, and then anguish about why I never seem able to find peace. Blessings to you both for caring enough to reach out.
Debi and Dawn, I’m wrapping you in prayer for your surgeries and recovery. May God guide the surgeon’s hand, inspire the nurses’ care, and bless you with His healing touch.
